Job Description
This vacancy offers a challenging environment to further develop and lead change and innovation with the opportunity to lead the management team. We are engaged in a city-wide development of services and you will be expected to play a key role.
Willingness to develop trainees and other staff and engagement with clinicians in delivering a clinical service will be essential. You will be HPC registered and hold the Fellowship of the Royal College of Pathologists or equivalent.
A developed area of expertise is desirable. We are a large teaching hospital on the northern edge of Liverpool with a catchment of around 400,000 providing general medical and surgical care and specialist services such as Diabetes & Endocrinology, Rheumatology, Respiratory medicine, Cardiology, Gastroenterology and Neurosciences and actively engage with Primary care providers. There are excellent links with the University of Liverpool.
We encourage collaborative research and teaching. The Department is actively planning radical change to build on previous strategies; you would be expected to be an integral part of this re-configuration
